Pape-Dawson Engineers, a leading engineering firm headquartered in Texas, announced that Trey Dawson has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Mr. Dawson will continue to provide technical oversight and sturdy leadership in promotion and management of the firm’s land development services throughout the San Antonio region. As an officer of the company, Mr. Dawson also is responsible for overall management, planning, and staffing of Pape-Dawson, and takes a formidable role in strategic growth of the company’s statewide footprint.

Mr. Dawson joined the company in 2009. Throughout his career, he has managed development of master planned communities; single-family residential and multi-family residential developments; and retail, office, hospital, hotel, museum, higher-education, and light rail industrial projects. He has successfully led numerous innovative land development projects, including the 400-acre Alamo Junction Rail Park, Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa ballroom and water park expansion, and multiple assignments for the Witte Museum. In addition, Mr. Dawson has led his team to successful development of thousands of single-family residential lots for numerous homebuilders and developers throughout San Antonio, and served as Civil Engineer for the Texas A&M University-San Antonio campus master plan, beyond which he is responsible for multiple continuing projects at the San Antonio Zoo.

In February 2019, Mr. Dawson was named a San Antonio Business Journal “40 under 40” recipient for exemplifying excellence in business, leadership, and community involvement. He serves on the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE)-Bexar Chapter Board and was honored as the TSPE-Bexar Chapter “Young Engineer of the Year” award in 2017. He currently sits on the Executive Committee for the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, holding leadership roles including Workforce and Business Development Committee Chair and Golf Tournament Chair, and is an active member of the Gala Committee and Government Affairs Committee. Mr. Dawson is Past President of the Executive Board of the Texas Biomedical Research Institute Founders Council.

“Trey has been integral in developing relationships and overseeing high-profile projects for our company,” Pape-Dawson Engineers’ Chief Executive Officer, Sam Dawson, P.E. said. “His skills, expertise, and strong business acumen have contributed to the successful execution of many projects in and around San Antonio.”

Mr. Dawson holds Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
